I write under two names.  One of the downsides is the need to have two sets of author pages on the various Amazon sites as they won’t let you have just the one site. I’ve managed to do this successfully on the French and German sites, but when it came to Amazon Japan, I kept on getting unstuck. Here’s what happened…And thank goodness for Google Translate!

Welcome to Author Central

Hello!

Update your own author page. Thank you. I will!

Updating the author page. Yep, that’s what I’m here for!

Multimedia to the Amazon author page , blog feed , additional Twitter feed or events. Yep, got that!

The anchor pictograph to the teahouse pictograph means: View and edit your own book list

Yes! This is what I want to do.

Towel rail picture to the 8 th pic of a musical note. Add this to the list. Yep that’s what I want to do.

Pictograph 1 is a complicated set of squiggles and the last one, number 16, looks very much like a question mark to me translates as:

Do you have a book that has not been published?

Yes! I’ve done the clicky link thingy….. And where is the bit that says do you write under a pen name, which all the other Amazon sites in foreign languages do? I can’t see it. At this rate, setting up this will take longer than it would to earn any potential royalties from book sales in Japan. (Or should I say, sale as so far we have only sold one book here).

Okay, thank you. Excuse me while I bash my head against this brick wall!
